About us Tessa Loftus graduated from University of Stellenbosch in 1997. She received post-graduate certification in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from the Maitland Institute of America. Tessa has done continued education courses in Mulligan mobilization concepts, dry needling, and women's health physiotherapy. Tessa has a special interest in Orthopaedics and Women's Health and has experience in these fields in South Africa, United Kingdom, America and Namibia. She's an advocate for the physiotherapist's role during the childbearing year when tremendous stress is placed on the musculoskeletal system, back, S-I joints and the Pelvic Floor. Serious issues later can be avoided by addressing more minor, nagging issues during this time, e.g. mild incontinence, back or neck pain, SIJ pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome. She strongly believes in the role of manual therapy. She enjoys yoga, swimming, surfing and her love for travel has taken her to all parts of the globe! She has lived and worked in London, New York, Honolulu, Windhoek, Swakopmund, Cape Town and now back in her home town of Stellenbosch. |
